J'ai récupéré celà sur la WPL, je ne sais pas si BEN peut s'en servir mais ca coûte rien d'essayer laugh.gif

The reason I posted this is that some of us with a BROADBAND static ip, or even dynamic, address are concerned about the security issues that arise during a multiplayer game session. For those of you who are not concerned about security, the game runs fine with a DMZ and (or) a no firewall configuration and no further reading is necessary.

To play with more secure type of network configuration you will need to open and (or) forward port 3000 and ports 2302-2400 (all UDP). The first port I mentioned could be changed from 3000 to another port so take note from whoever is hosting and change it as needed. With those settings you will be able to run as a host or a client. However, due to the way DirectPlay 8 peer-to-peer works you will only be able to have one machine behind a router running the game in multiplayer mode. I’m not going into detail of what all the port usage is for as I don’t have access to that information. You can find more info about Microsoft DirectPlay at the following links.

I have tested these settings on a Linksys Router at home and also tested them on a Linux machine running as a router/firewall from work.

For those who like to run LAN parties, needless to say, the game runs great over an unrestricted network, no extra configurations needed.

Also note that this is an improvement in that Rtime’s port usage was 1026-3006 TCP and UDP.
